ANTIPLANO
 
In the altiplano region highlights the Cerro Colorado

Climate

Flora
Presented in corresponding to the western foothills of the Sierra de Zongolica chaparral vegetation associated with secondary, desert scrub trees and associated rosetófilos thornless bush, south and east.

The rest of the municipality, in the higher areas of the Sierra de Zongolica, must have been covered with pine and oak forests, forest associations they have begun to be destroyed to open new farmland.
Fauna
 
There are deer, rabbits, hares, squirrels, armadillos, raccoons, opossums fox, and coyote, water snakes, rattlesnakes, coral snake, and mazacuata lever. Besides different kinds of birds like hawks, Tehuacanera dove, sparrow, swallow, Garza and owl.
